Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire lies on the banks of the River Severn. It is a historic market town, famed for its medieval street plan, timber frame buildings and quaint street names. It is the setting for the fictitious ‘Brother Cadfael’ novels set in the 12th century Shrewsbury Abbey.

Shropshire

Situated between Wales and the West Midlands, Shropshire is a varied and beautiful county. It is a great place to live, and is of course, the muse for ‘A Shropshire Lad’ by A.E.Housman.
